Mr. Albert Yip is the Chairman of Syndicate Capital Group, which is an Investor Champion and Corporate Champion of Global Fast Track that initiated by InvestHK/FintechHK with other regulator partners including SFC and HKMA, supporting fintech and Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) developments.Currently, he is also appointed as the Chief Strategist of L&Y Law Office, which is one of the top legal firms in Hong Kong with expertise in virtual assets industry. Mr. Yip is also appointed by Official Monetary & Financial Institutes Forum (OMFIF) as Chief Ambassador of Digital Monetary Institute.

Mr. Yip has been named by Linkedin as the “Top 10 CEOs in Hong Kong to Follow on Linkedin”. During the recent decades, Mr. Yip has been appointed as CEO, CFO, CAE and other C-Suite positions across Asia Pacific and the United States by Fortune 500 leaders in the banking and financial sectors. Mr. Yip was the former SVP and the APAC Head of Corporate Audit at State Street Corporation (the world’s 2nd largest custodian bank responsible for about USD 43.3 trillion of global assets) and was appointed as the MIC(Governance) of SSGA that was the trust and fund manager to manage for the entire trust and investment management of Hong Kong’s Tracker Fund (“TraHK”) for Hong Kong Monetary Authority. He also served other senior management roles in State Street Bank, Manulife Financial and Westpac Bank.

Currently, for public appointments, he is the Chairman of WealthTech Committee at IFTA, the Co-Chair of External Affairs Committee at Tokenized Assets & Digital Securities (TADS) Awards, and the Working Committee Member of ixCrypto Index (the first Hong Kong launched benchmark indicative crypto index). Mr. Yip is also the Chairman of Investment Committee at the Institute of ESG and Benchmark. Since 2019, Mr. Yip has been appointed to the Task Force on Sustainable and Inclusive Finance at UN ESCAP ESBN. Mr. Yip was the former Chairman of Financial Services Committee of CPA Australia - Greater China Division, and the former Governor and Chairman of Professional Development Committee of Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) of Hong Kong Chapter. He is the advisor of Forbes Global Alliance. With his significant contribution to promote the international trade and culture between China and Peru, he was awarded with Medal of Honor (MH) by Peru Government. Mr. Yip is also the first honoree in Asia for the WACE Award.
